BIG Week For Neko!
Late last week:
Neko lost her last Canine tooth! (the last to go in a puppy's mouth)!
Yesterday:
Neko caught her rope toy with her MOUTH! (a desirable doggy talent that we almost threw to the wayside given trial after trial. She understood the concept but could never open her mouth in time.)
Today!
Neko caught the TENNIS BALL with her Mouth!!! She's a quick learner, and THIS opens up a whoooole new world of puppy entertainment!!!!
We're so proud of our little one!

Cabin Fun! Summer 2011
Cabin FUN!
Peaceful moments with the Dragon Fly on the dock and the fish... waiting for bait...? or bread, probably ;-)
Thank you Aunt Chris for another peaceful and much needed vacation at the Cabin for a 4th of July week of Fun!

Month One!
So I have made it to Ukiah and am having a blast so far! It is beautiful here. My job takes me all the way to the coast, which is about an hour's drive over twisty roads through the redwoods and to many other diverse settings.
I went met up with a great group of about 12 people and went for an overnight kayak trip through the wilderness area (on BLM land) over the 4th of July weekend which was a blast!
I have been riding my horses a ton since I have been here. All the other people who board their horses here too are very nice and love to ride, so they have been getting me out a lot more which is great!

And I have gotten a new puppy- she is an 11 month old lab/border collie mix. Her name is Gracie and she has much more of a lab look than border collie. You almost wouldn't know there is much in her...until she goes after your toes and feet to nibble and herd you ;) She has tons of energy and a better name for her may have been Spaz...but she is a very sweet dog that just LOVES people.

Also for all those who are interested.... my new address is: 801 E. Hill Rd., Willits, CA 95490

Movin to Cali.... :-)
So the big news on the horizon... I'm moving to Northern California!
I have been offered and accepted a new job in Ukiah, CA. Ukiah is approximately 1.5 hours from the coast, just south of Mendocino National Forest, about 3 hours south of Redding, and about 1.5 hours north of San Fransisco.
The job is still working for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and I will still be a Natural Resource Specialist, but I will NOT be working with Oil and Gas resources any more- which is very important and very exciting! I will now be doing a little bit of everything~ managing vegetation, invasive species, range management, fisheries, threatened & endangered species, wildlife, etc.
I will be moving sometime between 30-60 days from now and can't wait! :-)

Hello Potts Clan!!
For those of you who may not have heard from my parents, or seen it on facebook or caught a conversation thread through the lines of gossip...Let me, then, be the first to inform you that Brian and I have made a decision to move in together. We are very excited, because we will both be able to FINALLY save money for the first time in years!! (and as we all know, there's nothing like saving money, especially in these rough times of this economic 'something or other') I have posted a picture taken from the kitchen window of my soon-to-be new apartment. The apartment is in a really nice, old brownstone building near the Minneapolis Institute of Art. It is a very small apartment, therefore, unfortunately I won't be hosting Easter or any large event involving more than just, well, Brian and Myself ;)
It is a very nice space for us so I thought I would share it with all of my loving Family (via a picture) :)
