Mirror Image 2

Captain Chris watching for heavy traffic on this pre-evening cruise time. Good job, Chris!
Watching for Loons and reading her book kept Liz busy on our sunset cruise today!

Liz, Chris and I had a "Girl's Only Lake Daze" this past Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Chris' Pike Lake. This was a veiw from the pontoon boat on a sunset cruise. There was not a wave nor a fly on top of the lake. The water was so clear you could see the fish move below. I had a peaceful couple of days spent with two stellar companions with much delightful conversations lasting into the dawn of the next! Well, almost! An amazing time for removing any stresses in our lives and a unanimous vote of "Yes we will do it again, SOON!" Thanks Chris & Liz for delighting this particular elderly grandma type lady!

Pike Lake 08

This is Great!

Thanks Chris. This is very exciting. An official site for the family to chat, share news and pictures...and generally keep in touch. I think everyone will enjoy both reading and contributing to the blog.

Here is a tip that I have found handy. When you are looking up something that you know you saw in the blog, here is a neat way to find it. Above the blog header pic (very nice photo by the way) there is a white search box. Just put in a keyword that was in the post you are seeking and click "search blog" and all the posts with that keyword will open.

Also, adding pix and videos to your posts is easy and I expect to see a lot of them! Just click on the photo or the film strip located on the tool bar of the "create post" page. I find it easiest to download the pix first and then add the wording.

Okay, let's get this party started with a little trip down memory lane. Here is a photo slide show from Labor Day at Pike Lake last year.

Wasn't that fun?

Okay, to embed slide shows, just go to the Picasa site and click the album you want to embed. On the left hand sidebar of the album, you'll see the embed slideshow option. (Hint...you have to paste the html under the "edit html" tab as opposed to the "compose" tab of the create post page.)

Thanks Chris for creating the Potts family blog...great name, too! Oh, and sorry no grammar check...but there is a spell check in the toolbar (thank God!)
